It is a shop that has it all. Even though the owner of the shop is Australian but she sells genuine Egyptian products such as the locally produced shea-butter products, Sohag scarves of cotton with embroidery, Siwan scarves, jewelry, genuine Bedouin embroidery and much more.

2. Souq At Talaat

This weekly market is located in Taref, opposite the Temple of Seti I. It is a common shopping spot for locals and is a good place to buy souvenirs and gifts at a lower price. It is most commonly visited by locals to buy fruits and vegetables. It is a perfect way to experience shopping like the locals.

3. Bazaar Al Ayam

For the most beautiful shawls and galabeyas, this is the perfect place. It is also a common shopping area for the locals but the shawls available in these markets are the best that one can find in Luxor.

It is located close to the Karnak temple parking. It is an amazing shop to buy takeaways as everything here is under 2 Euros. This is a very famous shop among the locals as well the tourists.

5. Sharia Khaled ibn al-Walid

For all the lovers of arts and paintings, this is the perfect place to go. Tourists can buy amazing pieces of artwork from this very famous art gallery.

6. Fair Trade Centre

There are many NGO projects going on all around the country. This shop features handicrafts from these projects. The handicrafts from the nearby villages such as the Garagos, Sinai, Hejaza and Quz. Stuff such as glass blown by hand, table linens, recycled glass, hand carved wood and pottery.

7. Savoy Market

To provide the tourists in Luxor an improved shopping experience, the older tourist shops near the Luxor temple have been replaced by this market. This market is filled with numerous shops to buy souvenirs and gifts.

Although shopping is not the most attractive part of a trip to Luxor it still offers some options for the tourists to shop from. It is advised not to expect some high-standard shopping malls shops here because this sector of the city is still being worked upon. This city offers great shops to buy typical Egyptian products. The shopping areas are not very developed but they provide amazing handmade staff and local products.
