Boracay history:
The beautiful white beach you are seeing today has many of the gems hidden inside it. From centuries ago, things were not as these are now. Boracay history is a mystery that you should know. There was a time when there were only 100 peoples living on the island and used to farm rice, raise goats and cattle. Till the 1950s their eating source was just fishes and rice, but after some time they stopped eating fishes due to the poison cyanide which was occurring due to over-eating.
The 1970s was a game-changer year for the island because two of the movies were released and many of the peoples came to know about the island and the season for tourism started. Later on, the island got the name “paradise on earth” which is a remarkable honor in the Boracay history. The island is so pretty that it attracted many of the tourists and the island then became the favorite destination of the tourists. After getting an increasing number of tourists the authorities took notice and renovated the island and facilities so then the visitors will not feel bad.
During the 1990s the island upgraded and added a mark on Boracay history and that is the resorts they made! Out of these, many resorts are so popular now. This was a great opportunity for the investors to invest in the great thing, which now giving them revenue till now. From 2000 to 2017 the island was awarded so many awards that it became even more popular.
Boracay culture:
The Boracay culture is very relaxing, you do not need to follow any of the unnecessary rituals or values. Its culture is way too flexible and easy-going. But, the island is a threat to its neighboring countries because of its beauty. Boracay culture has one main event which is Boracay Funboard competition. The well-known Ati-atihan takes place in January. Dragon boat races are held too. The culture of Boracay city is very unique they have their own style of dressing, women of the city love wearing jewelry. They celebrate each and every event of the city. They are very friendly and loving, they believe that peace is a success. Their culture has dance, art, and music. Almost every child from its elementary stages goes to practice dance and music as it is in their culture which is their dignity and makes them individual.
