Introduction:

Washington entered the Union in 1889. The city’s name was kept after President George Washington, the first President of Washington and also the founder of it. Washington is the capital of the United States of America. The city is the biggest political capital not only in the country but in the world too. It is the 20th most populated city and with that, the city has the most productive citizens. The city is the most visited city and a favorite destination for many of the tourists. Washington’s metropolitan area is considered to be the country’s sixth-largest area. The city has many monuments and museums to explore.

Best time to travel:

The best time to visit Washington is between September to November and March to May. These slots are best on the basis of weather, events, and fares. Although, it completely depends upon you to then when do you feel is the best time to go. The autumn is the time when the sizzling summer has left the city making it the best time to visit the city, also, it is the highest peak of the season. The second highest peaked is when spring falls. The summers are typically hot and humid in Washington. The winters are the lowest, you would experience high low weather and an immense cold. So, be prepared! 

  1. September to November:

The temperature of Washington fluctuates from 50 degrees to 70 degrees, which makes the time the most pleasant time to visit. But, do keep in mind that the temperature may fall to 30s to 20s so do keep extra clothing with you just in case. During, this time, the tourists’ peak is a bit low, but the business deals take the charge and flood the city.

  1. December to February:

The lowest season in all ways in terms of weather and fares. The hotel prices are so low in this duration.   1. March to May:

This is considered to be the best time to visit Washington, WHY? Because the weather is at its fullest best. The spring is been out and certainly making the time to its best time to visit. Time is a great attraction for many of tourists, so it must be yours too!

The events which are hosted by the city during this time are National Cherry Blossom Festival, White House Easter Egg Roll, Flower Mart, Passport DC, and National Memorial Day Parade.

  1. June to August:

This period is the hottest period and certainly, the summer hits the city very hard because Washington has the hottest summer. The weather would get a bit quirky and dry which would not make your tour a great tour. Although there are many air-conditioned attractions like the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and the Library of Congress. The roads are less congested during the time.

The events which are hosted by the city are Summerfest DC, Capital Pride Parade, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, National Mall Fourth Of July Celebration, and Citi Open.
