: The location - in the heart of medina, close to everywhere, the courtyard - an oasis full of tropical greenery, our room - the Audrey Hepburn room on 1st floor with its stylish bathroom and a seating corner at the terrace, and above all Hakima and Hafid - our hosts who were so friendly and attentive. They expressed certain concern about negative comments on booking.com by some guests who expect this riad to be a luxury hotel. It is not. It is a small charming guest house with the intimacy of a family home. We liked it very much.

: If you need absolute silence to sleep well the seagulls may wake you up a few times every night. This is not a fault of this propriety, simply a matter of fact in this location - and any other close to the sea shore.

: Recommended by friends, Dar Dayana provides cozy rooms, a comfortable garden for breakfast, and a staff eager to take guests to shops they might not otherwise find in Essaouira. Some rooms have terraces. All look onto the riad’s garden and pool. The cakes, yoghurt, teas and spiced coffee served at breakfast are excellent. Dar Dayana is close to some of Essaouira’s best hideaways for drinks and dinner, including Caravane Café.

: The only drawbacks, and they are minor, is that the neighborhood is not one of the cleanest in Essaouira, and the guest house can be a bit hard to find without advance instructions or a map app on your phone.

: Hosts were amazing! Breakfast delicious and all home made (yogurt included). Hosts made sure I felt welcome and spent time explaining the nice things to see in Essaouira.

: The hot water wasn't constant... every few seconds during the shower, the water would get boiling hot.

: Dar Dayana is located in the heart of the Medina which is a very short walk from the Supratour buses. The garden is lovely for a tea and to relax in the evenings. The hosts are very sweet. It was also very convenient that they provide a key for the front entrance so you never feel like a nuisance.

: Would have loved some soap and conditioner. Happy I brought my own. But I’m sure if I asked the owners they’d be more than happy to accommodate.
