: The hotel was undergoing renovation and they didn't let us know ahead of time that much of it would be closed including the main entrance and the grand lobby. I understand the need for renovation but if I had known ahead of time my expectations would have been correct. I booked an appointment at the spa and it was on ta floor of the hotel and my massage was in a converted hotel room. There was no beautiful atmosphere or extras like sauna, jacuzzi. The worst part is that they never told me when I booked it that it would be like that.

: The hotel has been on my list of hotels to stay for many years. It was a little sad that they were fixing the farcade while we were there so we could not take the front entrance. Other than that, everything went perfectly well from the first communication until the check out time. Location could not be better and overall service was excellent.

: I think the rooms we booked were a little too small. I also mentioned above that they were fixing the farcade so guests must take its side entrance which wasn't as nice as the main entrance. I also thought the breakfast could be a little better given that they are having so many Asian guests in the hotel.

: The service and the property were great. It seems that everyone who works there understands that they are in no ordinary place, and they are proud to be there. Everyone goes out of there way to make sure that you are satisfied.

: Bed was comfy. Room well decorated and comfortable.

: Staffs attitude. No one to open doors for you when you were struggling with a pram. The cleanliness of the bathroom there was poo on the wall when I arrived. I demanded to move rooms immediately but they claimed they were at capacity which I find very hard to believe. I couldn’t use the bathroom after that plus I got stuck in that same bathroom as the wooden door had swollen and I couldn’t open it. The manager only moved us after 3pm the next day and only gave us a 50% reduction for that night and compensated me with champagne which I informed them I didn’t drink. I was horrified, they weren’t very apologetic just claimed that this had never happened before I have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels all over the world and I would have expected much better response to that. After telling me she would move me after 3 there was no initiative to find me to move me I had to go and look for her, where she walked passed me in the lobby and ignored my presence waiting for her until I asked her colleague to call her. The service in the restaurant at breakfast was slow and I struggled to order as waiters would just ignore you or tell you to wait for them to serve you. On my last morning in the new room they had moved me to, they commenced building works cementing the wall right outside my room in the morning waking myself and my toddler up. They pay a lot of attention to detail in their decoration but not in their service. Service received not worth the prices I paid.
